Volunteer Guidelines

In an effort to maintain the high standard of conduct expected of Ruth Mott Foundation Volunteers, adherence to these guidelines is applicable to all volunteers

• Remember that you represent the Ruth Mott Foundation and Applewood. Please act accordingly.
  
  
• Arrive for your volunteer session 10-15 minutes early, unless requested to do otherwise.
  
  
• Your access to the Applewood grounds is limited to the time in which you are volunteering. We are not currently open to the public and we appreciate your respect of this situation.
  
  
• Please give advance notice if at any time you are unable to fulfill your volunteer duties.
  
  
• Please dress appropriately for the activity planned and as the weather dictates. Most Applewood activities will take place outside.
  
  
• Smoking is not permitted on the estate. Tobacco viruses can be transmitted to our plants through touch and/or smoke.
  
  
• Applewood images may not be reproduced or used without express consent of the Ruth Mott Foundation. Photography Policy
  
  
• If you find out information about the Ruth Mott Foundation that is not public knowledge, we ask that you keep it to yourself and treat it with confidentiality.
