Convening

With an interest in preserving the legacy of C.S. Mott, the foundation is developing new mission roles for Applewood, the historic home of C.S. and Ruth Mott. One promising role involves using Applewood as a special place for convening people around community topics. The topics will be identified as ones of strategic interest to Ruth Mott Foundation planning and the community.

We believe that getting people together in a neutral place to discover and understand community issues is an important step towards promoting healthy conversations and the vitality of our community. With the well known commitment that C.S. and Ruth Mott had towards community, we believe it is fitting to use Applewood, their historic home, as a center for this important work.
